June 2008 Report

Well, I know it has been awhile since I posted something but I seem to be on the six month trend. What has been happening since December? Kris and I both got different vehicles to drive. Kristin's old car was totaled in December so we got her one in January and I just recently laid the "Bu" to rest and got another used car to drive back and forth to work. I'll miss ya "Bu"

In May, Kris and I and a bunch of our friends went on our first ever cruise. What a blast! It was seven day cruise and we got to visit Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, Mexico. I was really unsure whether I would enjoy something like that but I'm glad we went now. We had so much fun and there is so much to do on the ship. You could never get board. Plus, the food was outstanding!

Other than that, I've been busy at work organizing alumni events for Alma College and helping raising our two and 1/2 year old son, Caleb. He is getting so big and he is talking so well. He really likes books and wants me to read to him every night.

Well, until next time -- Enjoy your summer!

The Neubecker Christmas Letter

Greetings friends! It is the time of year when we look back through the year and give thanks for all that we have been blessed with. This year has been an adventure and we certainly want to thank each and every one of you for the love and support you continue to give to us! Brent is still working as the Alumni Director at Alma College and Kristin is still working at CMU in the Scholarships & Financial Aid Department and playing piano a lot.

We are both really enjoying our jobs and are blessed to have an excellent daycare for Caleb! Caleb just turned two and he is testing his boundaries! He is a very happy child but he can pull the stubborn card at a moment's notice. He is very healthy and we got a great report from the heart doctor this past year-no irregularities! Thank God! Hopefully, no more monitoring devices in his future!

Caleb is a very active little boy. He is definitely a Daddy's boy (poor Mama!) and likes to copy Daddy by golfing, playing baseball, and trying to fix things. He is talking very well now and it is nice to be able to understand what he wants and have a conversation! He just recently began watching and liking "Blues' Clues" (mostly because he wants to be like his cousin Logan) but he hasn't shown much interest in any other cartoons. That might be a good thing!
We have had some fun times this year including our Neubecker fun weekend in March at Boyne Mountain (Caleb loved the inside water park!), our family trip to Florida in May (Kristin and Caleb's first time flying!), and enjoying the Cheeseburger Festival in Caseville with Kristin's family in August!

Life is very fluent and things can change in an instant. Just last week, Kristin got into a car accident when someone slid into her on an icy road. Thankfully she is okay but the car suffered (actually it was totaled), but we thank God it was not anything worse. We should never take anything for granted and should use this time of year to tell everyone we know and love that we care about them. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! May the Lord be with you during this glorious season! God Bless you!
Merry Christmas
Brent, Kristin and Caleb

My First Blog

This is my first entry. I will start by introducing my family. My wife, Kristin, and our two year old son Caleb. We live in Mt. Pleasant, MI with our dog and cat. I work for Alma College as the Dir. of Alumni Relations. I have been doing that since June 2006. It is a lot of fun yet challenging.

We just finished up with all the family Thanksgiving stuff. It was good to be able to spend a significant amount of time with the family but we were ready to get back to our normal routine.

We now have a few weeks to rest up before Christmas when we will be doing it all over again. Enjoy the holidays everyone!
